Overview

As an Operations Associate, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference in how Upswing runs. You’ll work with our Associate Director of Operations to manage the day to day operations of the organization. The ideal candidate for this role will be an individual that is interested in many aspects of business operations, from people operations and recruiting, to event management and inventory management. 

We are a fully remote organization, however, we are looking for a candidate that is located in or near Durham, NC, in order to assist with logistical and administrative tasks. Ideally, this role will be about 90-95% remote with 5-10% of the role needing to be completed in Durham, NC. 

This role will be part-time working between 20-25 hours per week.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding of new team members
  • Track inventory and support teams in mailing out items to schools occasionally
  • Support teams and Associate Director of Operations with internal events (virtual and in-person)
  • Handle administrative tasks via Quickbooks, including invoicing and account review
  • Follow up on accounts receivable through email and phone communication
  • Support employee culture and DEI efforts within the organization
  • Schedule on-boarding and off-boarding meetings for team members
  • Coordinate internal communications 
  • Handle additional tasks as they arise


About You

  • You are interested in how a business runs
  • You are detail oriented, highly organized, and thrive on making things happen
  • You have experience in and are proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft office (Canva, Asana, and Slack are preferred but not required)
  • You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • You are a quick learner and embrace new challenges
  • You are able to handle sensitive information with a high level of discretion
  • You are located in or near Durham, NC with the ability to travel into a coworking space 1-2 times a month
